I always thought our water was pretty good. Three weeks later the filter looked like that, so I guess not.

Built to remove what most shower filters miss.
Most filtered showerheads don’t address chloramine. Ours removes 99.9% of it, along with 99.9% of chlorine, in independent lab testing.
A reaction, not a trap.
Food-grade Vitamin C reacts directly with chlorine and chloramine, neutralizing both. A proprietary gel matrix protects it from oxidation before use.
The US EPA calls ascorbic acid, a form of Vitamin C, “an established and recognized dechlorinating agent.”
See how it worksRust and sediment stop here.
An NSF/ANSI 42 certified 5 micron sediment filter catches rust and sediment. The clear window shows what it captures.
NSF/ANSI 42 certification applies to this filter, not the complete showerhead.

Made in Korea. Measured independently.
The Korean team has focused only on shower and water filtration for over 14 years. In independent third-party lab testing, neither chlorine nor chloramine was detected after filtering 100 liters of tap water.
Independent laboratory result under test conditions. Not a measurement of the water in your home.

Reviews
Why they look twice
Real customers, sharing their experiences.
The water in LA has chloramine in it and none of the other filters I had tried removed that. This does.
My dermatologist asked me, what did you do differently? Because your skin looks so good.
I’m about 2 weeks in and my skin feels so soft. My hair doesn’t even need to be blow dried to be smooth.
I showed my roommate the old filter because it looked nasty. She literally bought one the same night.
I always thought our water was pretty good. Three weeks later the filter looked like that, so I guess not.
You can really tell it filters out the impurities. No more chlorine smell and my skin feels great. If you’re on the fence, just get it!
I’ve tried other shower filters before. This one I can actually feel that it works. My skin and hair feels so much better and the water spray is amazing!
You have questions. We like that.
Will it fit my shower?
Yes, the Showerhead fits standard 1/2-inch NPT US shower arms and installs by hand without tools. Unsure? Send a photo of your shower arm to hello@secondshower.us before buying.
Check your fitWill it change my water pressure?
There was no measurable pressure loss in testing from 40 to 80 PSI. With the filter installed, the Showerhead delivered 1.54 gpm at 80 PSI and 1.38 gpm at 20 PSI.
When do I replace filters, and how much?
Replace the filter about every 60 days. Two filters cost $36 on the plan, with shipping included, or $39 without a plan.
Dark in a week. Is that normal?
Yes. Dark color is sediment and rust the filter caught, not mold. It does not measure chlorine or remaining filter life. Follow the replacement schedule, or replace sooner if it turns deep brown or black or pressure drops. Much sooner than expected? Email a photo to hello@secondshower.us.
Do I have to subscribe?
No. A one-time purchase is available. The plan sends two filters for $36, shipping included: first after two months, then every four months. The device price is charged once. Skip or cancel anytime.
What if it is not right for me?
You can return it within 30 days of delivery. For a change of mind, you pay return postage; for a product or delivery problem, we provide a prepaid label. Used or opened filters cannot be returned. The device warranty is one year, or lifetime while a filter subscription is active.
ReturnsWill it soften hard water?
No. Shower filters, including ours, do not remove calcium and magnesium. That takes a whole-house softener.
