the Second Shower Head

I did a little research and discovered that our water quality here in NC is pretty good (even though I e never drank out of the tap - always smelled like chlorine to me). One thing about our water is that it’s treated with chloramine, probably what I could smell! My partner has awful psoriasis and has a very strict regime to follow that still results in flare ups. So I decided to get this filter because as I understood, the Vitamin C was the best way to reduce the chloramine. I’m about 2 weeks in at the point and my skin feels so soft, actinic keratosis areas are definitely getting better. My hair doesn’t even need to be blow dried to be smooth. It’s such a relaxing feeling, the water flow is somehow soft and soothing. If you’re used to a high pressure shower head, this is different but you’ll soon find yourself eager to shower because it’s such a chill vibe! The filter is turning grey, and there are some specks of much darker material in there. Glad to see it’s working and I had a good reason to try it out!

I have the handheld shower and like it so much that i wanted to buy one for my friend who lives in an apartment. She wanted this one so i plan to install it for her when i visit. I think this shower filter is also a great gift for a friend and very easy to install. It also comes with white tape thing to prevent from leakage. Ive purchased another brand and it didnt have all the installation part that i had to return but secondshower comes with all the installation parts which makes easy to install.

The water pressure is good and the angle is easily adjustable. It has a built-in filter, so I feel safe using it. It’s a brand I trust and use often.

Compared with the original filter, this one provides noticeably stronger water pressure. With the old filter, I sometimes felt like my skin did not feel completely clean after showering, but with this one, I get a much better fresh, squeaky-clean feeling. I also like that the filter is visible. It makes maintenance easier since I can actually see its condition and know when it may need to be replaced.

I’ve been using the version with the hose and loved it so much that I had to get this model too. The best part is how visibly cleaner the water becomes. I was using a shower head with a small flow, but I was lazy to exchange it. However I saw this with the filters and I was curious to see if that will have some effect on my skin and/or hair. But after using it I haven't seen any measurable effect.But afar I loved was the larger area and the pressure coming out of it. I now even use less water than with the other head, as I don't need to open that much the flow to receive a great shower.Other thing that I loved is how easy you can place the direction of the shower.I don't know how to feel about the need to replace the filters, but after a little more than a month the filter seems to still be good, meaning that my water quality wasn't that bad. There's a window on the body of the item to see the state of the filters.It was really easy to install, by using a rubber strap wrench to take off the previous one and fitting this one.Replacing the filters is also very easy if I decide to, it only needs to unscrew the head from the body, and it offers no resistance.

I recently moved to LA, and my skin started breaking out. I thought it was because of change of diet, but “eating healthy” didn’t do much for me. I started seeking for the cause, and I tried shower filter. And viola, after a couple weeks of using, skin came back to my normal state. I would highly recommend this if nothing else is helping to improve your skin

I had heard that people were switching to filtered shower heads because of hard water so when I saw the opportunity to try it, I grabbed one. I've been using it well over a month now but wanted to be sure of the effects before reviewing it. To be honest, I am not sure how great the changes are, but it is cold now, and I'm taking some hot showers without my skin getting totally dried out. So I guess it must be working? My hair feels a little softer, too.I wanted to report on the mechanics of this filter as well. First of all, the wide shower head creates a better overall distribution than what I had been using. Instead of getting big droplets, it's a little finer, with better coverage. It seems well-made and sturdy, but it is mostly plastic.Replacing the shower head was super easy. It even comes with a small supply of plumber's tape if you want to make sure it's completely sealed tight. I didn't have to use it, though. As for water pressure, it moves through fine. They supply two types of water pressure control. I removed them entirely. :-)The only mildly annoying thing was this squeaking sound. I guess it must be from the water passing through the filter. Eventually, after several showers, it seems to have stopped.

This shower head doesn't pulse or mist or play music. But it does one thing well, which is to provide a soft and soothing showering experience. (I prefer to spell "showerhead" as one word, but will respect how the manufacturer shows it as two words on this product page. Grammar guides indicate both styles are acceptable.)I was skeptical when I opened up the really lovely packaging of this unit and saw the numerous tiny holes on its flat front surface. My first thought was that the stream was going to push irritating, needle-like streams of water into my skin like the annoying high-pressure showers at the gym back in college (which I think were deliberately made that way to make you want to get clean and get out as soon as possible).In reality, I opened the valve and out came a wide, soft stream of water that felt sufficiently strong to support cleansing but smooth enough to actually feel soothing. Something about how the individual streams of water flow out seems to make the water "cling" to your skin and it doesn't cause nearly as much deflected overspray on the surrounding shower walls as many shower heads I've tried have. I intended to take a short video of the shower head in operation, but decided instead to share a video of where the water is landing on the other side of the shower enclosure so you can see how broad and soft the stream is. (I've also included a couple of still shots with a ballpoint pen set on top of the shower head for scale--It's not a small unit, presumably because it has such a large, effective, and long-lasting filter.) In fact, the shower head I replaced with this one is touted as a "rainfall"-style unit, and I much prefer this SecondShower-brand head because it has a softer, smoother, more comforting flow that actually fulfills the rainfall terminology.It also feels like it uses less water, while wetting and rinsing just as well as the old one.This is obviously a very high-quality plumbing component, with sturdy construction, simple design, and superb documentation--even a small accessory set (wrench, plumber's tape, and replacement seal for ease of installation (however, as the manual points out, in most cases you can just hand-tighten it on your existing shower pipe and it will work fine and leak-free). The water did feel softer (mineral-wise), but it might be a few weeks before I can make any definitive assessment on whether the integrated filtration makes dry winter skin feel any better.This is not a cheap shower head, but in this arena (and having tried other shower heads) I think it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for."

I waited to post this reviews because I wanted to observe it's effectiveness and quality. I've had and used this shower head for about a month now and it was very quick and easy to install. I do live in an area with very hard water and I've always wanted a filter for our shower so I went ahead and ordered this one. I noticed a difference on my skin right away. I suffer from eczema and especially during these fall months it gets worse. With this filter shower head my skin is feeling so soft. I come out of the shower and I don't have the ugly tight, dry skin feeling. Also, with all the hard water our shower heads tend to get very ugly and clogged right away and with this shower head it is still spraying a full stream. I absolutely love it. My eczema has definitely improved and my skin is just great. I would definitely recommend this shower head. This is definitely a great buy. The pictures I have included are pictures of use after a month. And it doesn't even look like a lot of water is spraying but it definitely has a good pressure and flow. It is quiet as well, doesn't have a loud sound at all. I think this is a great product and it seems of good quality and very well made. If I have any negative input I will definitely update my review but that doesn't seem to be my case so far. Included a short video, hope that helps.

Holy WOW!! I'll be honest- I was skeptical that this could really outperform the Brita shower head I was using before, but I was so wrong. I'm genuinely obsessed with this shower head.Installation was incredibly easy- it took maybe two minutes total. It feels sturdy, well made, and sealed perfectly without needing any extra plumber's tape or attachments to prevent leaks.The water pressure through this thing is AMAZING. What surprised me most is that the water itself somehow feels softer on my skin. Not weaker- the pressure is solid- but the water texture feels smoother and more gentle somehow. I'm guessing that has to do with the vitamins in the filter, but whatever the reason, it blew my mind.It looks beautiful in my shower, and I love that the filter indicator window is visible from the side. My hair was also noticeably less tangly after getting out of the shower during the first use, which was an unexpected bonus.I'll update after using it for a few weeks, but so far, I have very high hopes, and I would absolutely order this again.

When I took it out of the box, I got a bit concerned because the shower head felt a bit too heavy. I have been used to very lightweight rainfall shower heads. I ended up weighing it to make sure it wasn't too heavy; it turned out to be about 1.36 pounds. That is very doable. So yeah, this thing feels heavy-duty. It comes with a little tool to help remove and install the shower head, but I didn't need to use it. There are three washers total: two are flow limiter and one is a regular o-ring. It arrived with one of the limiter already installed, but since I'm not in a state with water conservation rules, I swapped it for the o-ring so I could have regular water pressure. I have pretty high water pressure in my house, and even with the filter in place, the water still comes out strong. I haven't noticed any change yet in my skin or hair, but I've only just started using it. I am looking forward to seeing the results.
